The Consumer Protection Act, 1986 is a benevolent social legislation that lays down the rights of the consumers and provides for promotion and protection of the rights of the consumers.

Motor Vehicle Accidents

Most states follow a traditional tort liability system in which you can recover compensation when a motor vehicle accident caused by somebody else's misconduct or negligence injures you.

Criminal Cases

The reason these cases come to court is always the same: a person is taken to court because she is accused of a crime. The jury must consider the evidence presented during a trial to decide whether the accused is guilty or innocent.

Dowry Cases

Dowry is considered a major contributor towards observed violence against women in India. Some of these offences include physical violence, emotional abuses, and even murder of brides and young girls prior to marriage.
